Why is it that I can find time to not only make a blog post but to update the bloggin software itselft from SMB Nation’s conference in Redmond, WA?
I didn’t even manage to post an entry last year, but I am this year and hopefully I can start posting on a more regular basis.
So where am I at and what am I doing?
I am at the Annual SMB Nation conference in Redmond, WA @ Microsoft’s Corporate Headquarters. I am learning about all kinds of interesting technologies and processes to serve our customer better.
It’s been an interesting few weeks in EZNetSys land, first of a all another local consultant that we had worked with in the past Dave Kent of MicroHelp! computer passed away. So we have been busy helping his customer out. Then there was the ConnectWise Summit in Tampa, FL where I went to lean how to operate the business more efficently. Now I am in Washington State, all I really want right now is to get back to the office.
Well I am going out now to a meeting, will most more soon.
One of my clents got an invocie today from: corporateinfosystem.com for access to their web site that the clients says they never ordered? Upon calling this company they said that the invoice is for services? What services you may ask, we did and they kept haning up on us.
We suspect that corporateinfosystem.com is a fraud and if you recieve an invoice from them you should not pay it, we suggest you write "We did not order this cancel" and mail it back.
Raymond

Well I let my blog go for a few days and then noticed something strange in my web server logs. That my blog was getting a lot of traffic, which was odd, I know Susan Bradley has a lot of followers, but not the thousands I was seeing. Well it seems that the Spamers are doing what is called referral spam where they make it look like their site is sending you links, so they get listed higher in the search engines. Well I did some googleing and found there was an update to b2evolution that removes the referral function to block this, so I installed it. For any of you spammers, have fun somewhere else!
Well everything was going good leaving SMB Nation today, the town car was on time, got to the air port got through security, and then loaded on to a Southwest Sardine Can, then came the fun, "Ladies and gentlemen we are having a minor problem with the plane. We are going to have to shut the power down completely and then turn it back on" I made a bade Microsoft Crack that I didn't know the place ran windows 95, and needed a reboot. Well after that come "Ladies and gentlemen, we are having a technical problem and they are brining a replacement part, it should be 15-20 minutes" Well in the end 15 minutes in southwest time is 2:30+ hours. When we finally did take off @ 9:45AM (We should have arrived in Sacramento from Seattle @ 8:45AM) everything went smooth. Now would I have wanted to be on a place they didn't fix NO WAY, I guess thats like not patching your server. Well I finally ended up in Sacramento @ 11:05AM. So I needed a MINI SD card and went to Fry's, well found the card no problem, but when I took it to the register they couldn't swipe my Visa, and when they hand key it, they have to get Manager approval, well that took 15 minutes including a chorus of 5 cashiers yelling customers service to get a manager. So while I had a great time a SMB Nation the trip home was tiring........
Well SMB Nation 2005 has ended, and I will miss seeing everyone, but we will all still be a virtual community. It has been a long 3 days where we exchanged ideas on everything from becoming a MS Small Business Specialist to growing our businesses to how to secure an SBS server. For anyone who attend I want to thank you for taking part and helping to make the conference so successful. With out the SBS community this would be just another product......
